That's great you can get 50hp with all those mods but with the RAptor the Ct Pipe Kit gives you 50 hp check out the webiste if you don't believe me. And with port and polish new carbs and everything else it would waste a Z400. I have to admit the Z400 is a great quad and kills a 400EX but it's in a different league then a raptor. And i agree if Yamaha came out with The YZ450 engine in a good chassis it woudld be an awesome racing machine!

oh i belive you i know that with pipe and and airbox mods its close to 50hp, but ill have a little more Hp and have less or about the same money in my quad as the raptor with pipes and filter kit. + ill have the better handling and be lighter although not with me on the quad lol. now if the bombardier ds-650 would lose 90 pounds that quad would rock. lets just hope more sportquads come out. then we will have better and cheaper quads with all the competion.

btw its still not gonna kill a Z with those other mods. i love when people say you get killed when your only 5 or 6 quad lenghts back. when you got that much money and 260cc more you should win hehe

Here is a fact. My raptor with a 12 tooth sprocket, modified airbox, and a dynojet kit beat three stock Zs in 1/8 mile drags by a minimum of 7 bike lengths each time at St. Joe's on the sand. Additionally, I watched four different 400ex with jet kits and pipes stay right with the stock Zs. Sometimes the z would win most the time the Exs would win.

well i hope you won with those mods, im talking stock for stock its a pretty close race. the raptor wins most of the time though and it should with 260cc more. i dont really care about racing and i dont have enough experiance to probly even beat a blaster. ride what you like and have fun is the most important thing. i would love to have a raptor too and a banshee, 250r, ds-650, moto 440 , ktm 520 custom quad . someone wanna loan me some money

Blah Blah Blah, who rides at a consistant >60 mph anyhow. Both are great bikes. Two weeks ago I was going to buy a Raptor. I walked in the dealership with my check in hand determined a Raptor it would be. They just got done uncrating their last Z. I decided to take it for a spin, 20 minutes I loaded it up on my trailer. The Quad is what I would call a fun Quad. Several of my buddies which have Quads jumped on mine last week and were overwhemed with the quickness of the Quad and the ability to keep the freakin' front end down unlike the Raptor. I'm just counting down the hours until she is broke in. Hard to keep from opening her up wide OPEN.

well even though the "Z 400" is supposed to be so great, it sucks hardcore in the sand, and goin up hills. my friends 87 banshee wasted it, it also wasted a ds 650, 400ex, other banshees, and raptors. i think that about all these quads had mods on them. but the banshee wasted them up the big hill of bull gap. sp quite frankly, i dont like the z. i do admit it was doing some killer wheelies, but thats about it. the z 400 usually did take off faster than the banshee, but the banshee quickly flew by it. the raptor took off faster than the z, but then the z passed it. so, i guess it depends, on the weather cond., tires, mods. and of course the racer. but all in all, nothing compares to the fun of a 2 stroke.

I also like 2 strokes better but i have a hard time believing you wasted all those other quads on an older banshee unless it had quite a few mods

All of this bickering is a moot point. As soon as the New Kawasaki hits the floor, it will be faster than both the Raptor and Z-400. (Sorry, I'm having a hard time keeping a straight face when writing this ) The fact that the Kawasaki's color is green has everything to do with it being faster. I feel it will be a much better and more reliable machine than the Suzuki or Raptor.

Of course, as soon as the Artic Cat quad comes out, it will be faster than the three I just mentioned. It will be the fastest because it's color is black. (LMMFAO)

Please take this post with a sense of humor, as that is how it's intended
