I had a 2000 300ex, put a White Brothers E-Series Pipe on it, just made it a loud 300ex,,,no noticable power improvement. I have a 2003 Blaster, put on a Toomey B-1 Kit, Boyesen Rad Valve,,,,,it absolutely kicks a$$. Just put the RAZR tires/Douglas .190's on,,,taking it for the first ride tomorrow. Would I trade the Blaster for a brand new 300EX,,,,,no way. For everyone saying the 300EX corners better than the Blaster on a track,,,,WTF????? The blaster weighs 50lb less, sits lower, looks better, has a better hit, sounds better, and because it's a 2 stroke,,,smells better. The only thing Honduh has over the Yamaha is Ricky Carmichael.

I hear ya about reliability and durability, something everyone should take into account. With the Blaster, a new top end can be done in about 45 minutes and costs 60.00, give or take 10.00. With the 300ex, your talking hundreds, and unless your gifted in mechanics, you'll have to take it to the shop. I will be the first to admit the Honda will last longer than the Blaster (given identical circumstances), before needing a new top end, but the Blaster is such a simple, proven design, (no powervalve, air cooled, etc), that reliability isn't much of an issue. But hey, everyone is entitled to pick their quad of choice, and if the Honda floats your boat,,,,,great. Just have fun no matter what you ride. Cheers, Dave.
