Definition for sport quad = Any quad that is meant to be ridden for fun, not to do work. This includes the minis. The machines you listed are just have higher performance. ( and not much higher than the Z and EX)

Just because the z400 and 400EX are not the fastest (top speed) doesn't make them slow. The four machines were designed for a different purpose.

As far as the Z vs. EX, you need to evaluate your needs. An EX can be made to go fast but it does not have liquid cooling or Reverse.

 

well to me the new z400 sounds good and the 450 and 500hp numbers are pretty high so whats not to love about the z and obviously its not going to be as fast as some of the bigger quads but thats not what it was made for and for all you connondale riders they are pretty sweet quads but when your comparing them its almost unfair look at how much more a moto is then a shee or rap or whatever its like comparing a moded quad to a stock one if you put 12,000 into a rap or shee the outcome would be pretty sweet (athough i admit the connondale would probably still be a better mxer cause thats what it was designed for) or even if you made a Z440 with that amount of money id bet you it would hang right in there with the dales if not be faster jmo

Have you personally ridden each of these quads??? (I have, excluding the predator) If you had, you wouldn't say there is only a small difference between them....there is a huge difference between them.......especially if your not running a flatland drag race...I ride steep dunes and the two quads here, Z and EX, are dogs when the sand gets steep.....they can't make it up most of the dunes I typicaly ride, let alone race up them....I'm really not bashing them, I just get a laugh when people try to do these ridiculous comparisons......It's fine to compare the Z and EX but it needs to stop there.....

 

you wanna know what cracks me up you say that they are dogs well in a sand comparison in dw 400 ex, raptor, ds, fx400 ,and shee the ex came in third behind the raptor and ds ......isnt that ridiculous hahahahaha and since the z is a little faster than the ex i guess that makes the cannon junk about 5th? wouldnt u say? hahahahahahahaahha Shwo Customs over and OUT!!!!!!

 

Everyone knows the mags are full of $hit.....I know real world and no DS or Raptor, let alone the ex and Z beat the Cannondale in the sand....

 

I go to Kevins place and it is real nice, but the 4x4's are making it hard to ride some of the trails
