i have a 2000 scrambler 500 4x4 and im thinking about trading it for something different. Something with less parts less work and less weight.
im staring to get tired of fixing things.

i don't want anything too big and i don't have much money to play with so what i get from the scrambler is pretty much all ill have.

i was thinking about one of the older 250s like the lt250r and the trx250r??? something like that maybe an ex. which do you think i should check out and how will it compare to my scrambler??

Well if you don't want to spent time and money working on a quad all the time I'd go with the 400ex. Less maintance than a 2-stroke, plus older quads will normally take more money up front to get them in decent riding condition. The only way I'd by one of the 250's is if you know the previous owner and how well he/she took care of it. You can pick up used 400ex's for around the 3k mark in good condition. That would be the way to go.
