I may be getting a Z400 very soon and I would like to know what the best mods are for power. Keep in mind though I dont want to do any internal engine work. Is there an aftermarket cdi for it yet? Thanks.

 

I have a Z400 and the first thing i put on it was a full exhaust system. I have a Yoshimura RS-3 Competition system and LOVE IT!..sounds GREAT and has good power gains to. K&N filter is also a VERY good item to get for it. I have one on my Z400 and i could tell a difference right when i put it on. Dyno jet kit will get you 5% more horse power to. Also some Radiator Shrouds will give you some get up and go to. These are just a few things u can do to u'r Z400 for power. I did all of them plus some more internal work. Radiator shrouds just give you added air flow for cooling.

not sure how it would add much power, although the cooler it runs the more hp it could put out.
