Default 230 Engine Bore

I have been riding for a while but I am just learning to do some work on my quad. I am pretty comfortable with about any aspect of repair but have no experience with assembling/disassembling an engine in order to, hoefully, send it in for a bore. I was hoping that a few people might be able to give me a little input or advice on an engine bore for an 87 LT230 Quadrunner. I have been shopping around some and saw a place online, kustom-kraft.com, that said it could bore a 230 to a 265 for $265 with a sleeve, piston kit, and gaskets. How does that sound? This site also said that carburator tuning is intensive, what does this involve? Possible for an ametuer like myself? Can someone also fill me in on carb jetting? If I decide to go this route, will everything else on my engine be suficient enough to run with this mod (head, valves, crank. tranny, etc.?) Would an amatuer mechanic be capable of removing the block and reassembling without major problems? If I am totally taking the wrong approach to modifying my quad I would also appreciate some input on that as well. Thanks in advance for the input.

If you can think in a logical manner, take out that bolt, lay stuff out on card board. mark where things go.

you can take apart and reassemble anything.

Taking of your top end is as easy as 1-2-3!
