Over on the yamaha forum there talking about a kit that converts the yfz450 from electiric to kick start.

has anyone tried this on a Z400, I think it would be a similar process since both motors were originally kickstart any help would be appreciated?

how much weight do you think this would take off including battery?

yes you can convert them. the DRZ400 is kick start, what you have to do is buy the cases, and a few gears. from my understanding this mod runs about 1500$
