Default how is the LT250??

Hello
i got a 2001 ds-650 and i kidda wanna replace it with a small strong 2 stroke atv
Many people told me that quadracer lt250 is got to be my choice... i reallywanna know how is this atv
many people also told me it got alot of problems and u need to replace rings and other stuff
cuz its a 2 stroke atv... i kindda wanna know as much as detail you can provide me about the 90-92 quadracer
cuz its the only models we have here... and if the ride on lt250 is better then ds-650

Well, you have to consider that the LT is over 10 years old now, but if maintained properly it will rip! I have both a '92 quadracer set up for MX and a '01 Raptor, and the Raptor to me is more of a "Cadillac" type ride where as my quadracer is set up for the track and rides stiffer. Of course all that can be adjusted to suit your riding style.
Yes, you will have to maintain it. Replacing piston and rings as necessary when your compresion gets low will save you money in the long run rather than riding it until it blows up, but overall it is inexpensive and simple.
There are a few quirks with the Quadracer too. Mostly the rear swingarm will give trouble if you're into big air, and it goes through ball joints up front fairly quick if ridden at the track, and frame stress can occur, but don't let simple things like that deter you from a very nice and in my opinion under-rated quad.

The ride on an LT250 ain't all that great because the A-arms are short, and front wheel travel is just about straight up and down rather than moving a few degreese back which seems to absorb bumps better. Other than that, they are light, relatively quick, and (at least mine is) virtually maintenance free. I've pounded it for a dozen years and just done top end rebuilds a few times, that's it. They handle well and are easy to ride. For the money, hard to beat.

who is faster the quadracer or the ds-650
what is the top end of the lt250 ? my ds goes 80mph...
but on a short distance race who beats?
and the ds is hard to jump cuz its very very heavy...
how much the lt 250 weigh? and if the mods are expensive to this quad?

a lt250 is about 325 pounds dry which is light, and stock top speed on a 250 is around 70.
