prob the raptor juss by a little tho unles the person ridin the raptor doesnt know how to ride or sumthung.

Ive never riden a raptor but i did race against one with my 250r . I beat him but the raptor was pretty fast. A guy at my work bought the kawasaki version which as you know is exactly like the suzuki 400z, exept green .It seemed so slow when i rode it. The suspension was top notch and it rode great but absolutely no power compared to a 250r or even a stock banshee. I wasnt impressed at all. look at hp numbers 40 + for the raptor and like 26 for the 400z , it really easy to figure out. Weight and gearing play a big role but id put my money on the raptor. 400z owners like to make themselves feel better and say a 400z is fast... well they are the dreamers.

 

First off you impressions of the speed, to you are probably about right after fiding the two-strokes, but your info on the horsepower is way the hell off. A raptor does not make close to 40+hp, it is 34hp stock. A z400 makes almost 30hp, more like 29, so the raptor does still have more hp but the z is a little lighter. 40hp would blow by a stock z but the raptor is no where near that stock. As for the raptor wheeling by him like none444 (as in none quad) you're crazy. The z with these mods would be pretty close to the raptor and might get him though a few gears. Put a different carb on it and gear it a little different and you'll beat the stock raptor easy, just beware when he starts to mod also.

 

Oh as for z400 being dreamers because we think are quads are fast, what kind of bs is that. Has a modded z spanked your quad sometime or something? Did a z owner make a personal attack on this forum to you or something? Whatever i know a z is pretty fast, guys that have quads that do 100+mph might think a quad that does almost 70mph is slow but regular guys would tell you that is pretty darn fast. Telling myself it's fast does not make me feel better, I know it's pretty fast and the quad itself makes me feel better. The fact I have a life makes me feel good in general. So go have your wet dream about beating z400's and raptors and dream up some better hp numbers the next time you make a post.

 

Raptory you know the only way a z would beat you is if it was heavily modded or you let it, but I like your style. Wish I was as mellow.

YOu guys are right about the raptor does have like 35 hp , i was thinking of all the mags i was reading about how it was "supposed " to have like 40 hp , and the 400ex has 26. Anyway dont take things so personal , that was just my experience and opinion of tha z400. IM not a person who thinks of fast in terms of top speed either , im all about acceleration and getting from 0-60 as fast as possible. I just thought the z400 didnt have much power for a liquid cooled 400.

 

raptor would win. i have yet to see any Z beat one yet. I like the Z, but I just have never seen one win yet.
