I sold my lt250 and got a z400 today. I ended up paying $4829 for it. that was w/o tax. Its gonna take me a while to get used to a 4 stroke.

By the end of summer you’ll be wondering how you ever lived with out electric start and reverse. The 4 stroke will grow on ya too, you’ll appreciate the low-end power and usable torque everywhere in the revs, and you wont have to keep it on the pipe all the time.
Have fun

It seems like it wants to roll and wheelie a lot easier than the quadracer. It's gonna take me a while to get used to it. it doesn't do hill climbs as good, I have to get used to the power of it yet but it seems a lot slower than the quadracer. My old quadracer actually didn't have to be ridden in the pipe range. It was good low to high rpms, The 4 stroke seems a little harder to ride in the power actually. I like the torque though.

The stock Z is kind of lame on the bottom end. You really have to ride it reved out, and in the power band, in stock trim. I added an FMF PowerBomb header, Ti-4 muffler, K&N, and vented airbox lid. It really woke up the bottom end, and the top end isn't hurting either.

It was brand new. My uncle deals in suzuki outboard (Frankies live bait and marine in Chisago MN) so I got it through suzuki associate sales program. I've ran almost 2 tanks of gas through it now. what did you guys all do to your filter/intake system to wake it up?

I want to do something to mine but I don't want to open it up to much because I ride in a trap rock quarry by my house and they have piles of rock that are just a powder and they can make some nasty dust.

I was checking my quad over today, I have ran about 1 1/2 tanks of gas through it so it isn't even fully broke in. I checked the frame by the shock mounts and that looked good, no cracks/paint chipping. The axle has a slight bend on the left side of it.

Is it normal to have a little bit? it moves up and down about 1/4 - 1/2 in. at the most. I am riding it about 1/2 as hard as I probably will after its broke in.

The dealer said they would cover it if it was bent, should I bring it in? or is it nothing to worry about.
