z400 pipes

Default z400 pipes

What is the best low to mid range pipe for a z and if i do a sprocket change for more top end will that effect my low and mid range with the pipe on?

HMM, The pipes are almost all the same. I have LRD full sys. I love it, I think its great, and it pulls hard right off idle. But, I am positive that you will say the same thing about almost any brand (Yosh, DMC, WB, FMF, Pro Circuit, MBRP, ect. ) Get the one you like and the one with a good deal, or the one that the sales person helps you the best with. I would recommend that you leave the gearing alone until you get a pro flow, k&n, and jetted properly, see what you have then get your sproket.
Changing sprockets to gain top will take away bottom no matter what.

I did a complete opposite of what your asking , CT full pipe (mid and top end pipe) and a 13t front sprocket , I have a ton of torque and lost only 3mph off top end.

I'm going to do that also. FsT4WrD, did you rejet your carb and is so what did you change the jets to?

165 main , 33.5 pilot , air screw 3 turns out , no lid and no snork
