If you're looking for an '85 pipe, maybe check LRD since that year has no powervalve and the LRD pipe is tuneable to your powerband.

Default best pipe for 85 quadracer ??

For the 85 and 86 Quadracers I was told the FMF Fatty was the best. DR Q at Macdizzy was who told me that. I have a LRD and its just a Mid-topend pipe and it does the trick for highspeed tracks and dragracing. Oh yeah, the LRD pipe isn't adjustable for the 85-86s either. I want FMF I need more lowend. I would be able to take my bro on his Zilla on our home made track then. I can already hang with him the LRD!!

I am a big fan of fmf but an LRD is definately the best , you are gonna pay an extra 100 bucs but it is well worth it, believe me. Actaually never trust anyone who say believe me.

IM sure that test was sponsored by paul turner himself , because anybody who is anybody knows the truth. LRD is what i have and ive never heard anyone until now say paul turner is the "best". Ihad paul turner pipes on my banshee and they sucked compared to toomeys or LRD.

FTZ is a good pipe as well. I would go FTZ or LRD over Paul Turner, but Paul turner is good

Paul turner doesn't make a pipe for the 85-86. I think only lRD and FMF are. I was going to get a LRD but when I called them about a month ago , they said they would have to make it and it would be 6-8 weeks plus they quoted me a price $100.00 higher then the price on there web site or in Dirt Wheels. $469 seemed Like to much compared to the 179.00 for the FMF (I already had an FMF silencer). So I got the FMF it's noticeably better then the DG that I had before. But the pipe sucks for fit. I had to remove my PEP steering stabilizer, Redo my nerf bars and reroute my lower rad, hose .
