Nothing real cool but I was talking to some of you guys about LT mods. Some of you asked for possible pictures. I Finally got them in my bio page. I'm sorry but I don't have any internal pictures.

Nice work. The pipe must have drove you crazy wit all the welds. What makes it have to much over rev, and how would you change it if you were to do it again? And why the Rotax powervalve vs. the stocker?

Hey Halfliter, I'm not familar with the billet heat exchanger, as such.

Could you give a short disertation on how it functions? I am curious as to the details.

I assume its the aluminum being a good conductor of heat theory but being fairly new to ATV's I haven't seen anything similar.

Thanks.

Thanks for the compliments guys.
Tomzilla, I think what makes it over-rev so much is that the center body and rear cone are too short. I'm not positive on the rear cone because I had it go the other way on a sled once. I have longer cones made for the next pipe. I'm just too lazy to fit it. As for the Rotax type power valve; It raises and lowers exhaust port timing so I can have top end porting and still have good bottom end. It still uses the stock power valve also. It helps fill in a small dip in bottom end power, around 4500.
Blitzkrieg, The heat exchanger is just like those aluminum in line deals they have in magazines. Mine is just bigger and box shaped. The water comes in on one end and makes about four "switch backs" in a 3/4" slot inside then exits. The fins on the outside just disapate heat to the air like a free air motor. It's not as efficient as a radiator but it's easier to make and mount. It works real good.
