Default Z400 motor oil??

hey everyone, had a question about what kind of oil everyone is using in there Z's. In the manual it says standard motor oil. the dealer told me to run only good motorcycle oil e.g. Honda GN4 because of the nikasil liner. When i did my first oil change, i couldn't get GN4 so i got 5W40 pennzoil. Is this bad?? Also on a side note, because the rear grab bar is not removeable how are you guys putting on aftermarket rear bars??

You should use motorcycle oil. You are oiling a transmission as well as an engine! I use Honda HP4M (petrolium/synthetic blend with moly) in the manual clutch bikes, and HP4 only in the autoclutch ones.

The manual says"...Suzuki Performance 4 or an equivalent good quality oil....". That doesn't mean "standard" oil the way I read it, it means a motorcycle oil like Performance 4.
