ok i got a z400 i just ordered a 13 tooth front sprocket do i need a new chain and what is the stock chain?? ive heard somethin about a 520 chain with the 13 tooth sprocket some one help me out here

What is the stock sprocket.
IF it is only one tooth difference, you should be able to just adjust the chain

ok bare with me im not a chain pro the stock is 14 and im gettin 13 it says it will fit but they lie alot it may fit but like crap

Should be enough adjustment to make it work. I am surprised you are going a tooth down, doesn't the z400 already put out a ton of low end torque

with the pipe yeah but ive heard its one hell of a mod for 7 dollars

For $7 its a good experiment, but chances are you will find that 1st gear becomes too lower and useless. But hey, if it does what you want it to do, then its all good.

I have a 13t sprocket on my Z400. Stock is 14. It makes one hell of a difference. Its so much better, youll love it. All you need to do it adjust the chain, a new one is not needed.
