Suzuki will have their 450 racer out SO fast it will make your head spin. They had a banner year in 2003 in both races and sales with the Z400 QuadSport. The Z450 QuadRacer only makes sense.
Kawasaki is the one which I believe is gonna surprise everybody. The mags said the Rumor word about racer and 2 stroke. They've got the most experience with 250 2stroke from GNCC. Once the mags start the rumor mill, they always come true. Eventually.

I saw another bike company finally had the ***** to go ahead and develop an aluminum frame, took them long enough to get with the program. This will definitely make Yamaha and KTM look more into developing an aluminum frame.

THere's a very high probability that Suzuki will release something along the lines of a 450cc displacement quad in '05. Digger Doug Gust mentioned that 'they' need to release to '05 early so as to be competitive with Honda and Yamaha. It can only get better......

I want Kawi to make their own - they were and have been the innovative company in the ATV world - remember the turbo? The first V-twin? First automatic sport quad? They've always been making nice bikes and it is time they develop their own sport quad for the 450cc market. My .015

If they come out with a 450as a 2005 model I bet it is an updated Z400. If it is a 2005-1/2 or 2006, there is a chance it could be based off the upcoming RMZ 450. The DRZ / LTZ 400 engine takes a 450 big bore kit very easily.
FYI,
Kawasaki is building their own KXF 450 motocrosser. Unlike the 250 fourstrokes which they built with Suzuki, they have chose to go their own routes for premier class. I look forward to the KFX 450 F1. Known around Kawasaki's Skunkworks as the Tecate 45.
