I have a 03 z400. Not a racer but a trail rider. Just found 3 cracks in the front part of the frame. 2 of the cracks are on each side of the frame left and right. The are located at the junction where the frame bends and goes towards the engine. The are both at the exact same spots. I have taken it to the suzuki dealer and they are waiting on a decision from Suzuki. Has anyone else had this type of problems and how did you solve it. I see a new frame is $2100 not including the labor or taking it apart and putting it together. I also have read that you can send the frame to lone star and they will weld it and add gosset to the entire frame and powder coat it any color for about $700. But again there is the labor or disassebly and assembly. Man I really feel F*****. Any thoughts or ideas...

 

that's a bummer, hate to hear that. are you mechanically inclined. were it me i would do it myself taking time to label all of the parts and hardware. would not be to great a task, just try to take your time in doing, besides for me i really enjoy having the project to work on. it would suck not being able to ride for a while. let us know if suzuki backs there product or not, and good luck to you.
