Umm...Does anyone know how to use the Z400 parking brake? I press the button, hold the clutch, then push the little thing down and it stays there, but the wheels still turn..Am i missing something?

Well either the cable is siezed like 90% of the quads with them on or it needs to be adjusted.

the parking brake on my z worked fine the first 2 times used now it will roll away with it on. no big deal though i plan on getting the block off plate for it anyway. if you are using it for transport i suggest using tie wraps on your front brake this way there is no pressure on your gears. just cut'em when you get to your destination.

I got a better one than zip ties. I use what is called a "cable clamp". You can find them @ Wal-Mart with the extension cords. They are used when you coil up an extension cord, you put this clamp around it like half of a set of handcuffs. And they are easily installed and reuseable.

Im just saying a brake for when we stop at the top of a hill to take a break or whatever, and my Z doesnt go rolling off a cliff. For transport i just use the clamps. I read the manual and it said something about adjusting the back brake i think. I didnt quite understand what they meant.

Are you pushing down the button 'before' you pull the clutch lever in?

I dont use it much, but when i do use it it doesn't work when i need it. Just today, my friend fell off his dirt bike and i had to go get it off of him, on an decline. So i had to turn it sideways into a couple trees to stop it. But i guess if it doesn't work then theres nothing i can do about it. Thanks for the feedback guys.
