Default Go cart with GSX1100 engine. (Video)

Not to be over confident, but I don't think it would be that hard at all. Some ones I have seen with 250 2-strokes in there were not complicated at all. I see where this guys is set up for a hand shifter, but the ones I have seen have the shifter placed on your left foot, just like a quad or a bike, and have a long actuation rod attached to the linkage, this way you dont have to take your hands off the wheel to shift. I would think it would be easiest to have a scrap bike/quad and transfer everything over to the cart, engine, radiator, brakes, throttle, ect. I would even like to keep the bike or quad handlebars and keep the control configuration the same. A 250 is the common swap, but id like to have something with more power, but still be light, I was thinking that the GSXR1000 engine would be great, as it is pretty light, but makes mucho power. Or you could step up, use a Busa motor, perhaps have about a 50 shot of NOS on it, or the Mr.Turbo kit for it or......................

I would love to build one, but I just dont want to spend that kind of money for a motor if it's just for a project.
The cart would have to be modified to take the power of the 1100,
I would go for a bigger tire than what those guys had on it, something with tread on it too.
The foot shifter would make more sense to me, I wouldnt want to take my hands off the wheel to shift that thing.
I had an old snapper I was going to put a harley motor on, but just didnt want to spend the money to do it, but there would be minimal fabrication.
The only thing I woudl thing that would need done on the cart is to line up the sprocket to the axle with the output shaft on the motor, which wouldnt be had at all.
I would put a front brake on mine though, just to do mad burnouts.

all they did was put a different motor on a shifter cart, my buddies race shifter carts, they have ones that are a 125cc 2 stroke motor and they go well over 120 m.p.h. and pull g's hard enough to break your back, that is why the seats are made to fit, oh yeah and your butt sits about 1-2 inches off the ground

Hmm at my grandmothers house there sits a late 80's honda gold wing either 1400 or 1600 flat six engine it has set for like 10 years its her neighbors bike but its just sitting there rotting that would make a cool motor in a one seater off road buggy low cg tons of torque?what you guys think that engine would be like in something I know it doesnt have as much power as that 1100 but I would think it has more torque?
