Default DO I need To Rejet!!help quick!

Yo would I have to rejet my z250 with just a twin air air filter. If I do what jet kits are available for this. I plan on piping my quad over the winter. Thanks!

You shouldn't have to rejet it with just an aftermarket air filter. Now once you put that pipe on, then you should defintely consider getting it done. Best route to take is to see what the Pipe manufactuer recommends, and have your local shop do it for you. I actually ordered 2 Twin Air filters today, and should have them in a week or so. I'll let you know whether or not we needed to rejet it. Hopefully we don't have to since we're waiting patiently for the DMC Alien exhausts to arrive, and rejetting the carb then. Here are the stock jet sizes for Z-250.

Stock Z250 Jet sizes:
Main Jet = 125
Pilot Jet = #20
Needle on 2nd Groove

You can tell if the engine performance isn't equal to or better then it was prior to putting it on. Also, no one makes a jet kit for this quad yet. You'll either have to wait for a Jet kit to be released or get a couple of plus size mikuni jets to experiment with. If I were you, I'd get the air filter, and don't worry about jetting the carb until you put your exhaust on. Hopefully by then someone will have a jet kit available to take most of the guessing game out of it.

I actually purchased 2 of them from Elite Performance ATV (www.eliteatv.com) about a month ago. I was told by DMC that they were expecting them around Sept 15th, but they pushed it back and I have yet to recieve them. I was hoping to have them this weekend, but that doesn't look likely either. I paid $690.00 for 2 systems to my door, which is about $345.00 each to the door.
