No airbox?

Default No airbox?

pros and cons? how would a clamp on UNI with a outerwear and no airbox work out? what kind of condistions would make this a NO-NO?

You'd only want to do it in dry environment (no standing water, etc..)

I'd suggest using the airbox (with all the walls cut out) as a frame to hold outwears all around and off of the filter.

I would'nt do it unless you plan on only riding stadium supercross tracks

Just removing the lid should be all you need to do. Taking the whole box out isn't gooing to give you any more advantage and the disadvantages are great.

i'm planning on running a clamp-on. other than deep water, what's to worry?
planning on making a deflector to keep rear tire spray down to a minimum.

I run a K&N slip on (w/outerwear)no air box on my LT250R.I had to becuase I change my carb to a 39mm Kuhien and my air box would not fit the air intake side of the carb to big.If you stay out of standing water you will be OK. I have rode in alot of slop with no problems and with the bigger carb and much improve air flow my 250r screams. Just my 2 cents. LoL.
