polaris dosnt suck, beacuse right know the 700 twin would blow away your king quad 500.

Wow, vtwiner is a smart ***
Polarisman..

I was not trying to sound like a smartass and I apologise if I came off that way. The title of this thread was" twin peaks 700", and I thought that was what you were talking about. I don't know how this subject turned into polaris bashing. Ride what you like and be happy. Life's too short to argue over the brand you choose.

Big bearFX first of all the old king quad is only a 280cc pure utility atv I would hope a 700cc machine could blow it away. Second of all mav's vinson will keep up with the sp700 in everything exept a couple of miles an hour on the top end, and thats is the sp700 is even topping out which they seem to have problems doing according to some threads on the polaris forum. And you get a sp700 and a vinson in some tight technical woods and trails and the vinson is going to be waiting for the fat a$$ on the other end.

I raced my p650 against a sp700 and smoked it both out of the whole, and on top end. As much as I hate polaris, it was a lot of fun. My brother in law that was racing me, said (after he lost misserably) that he didn't buy a utility to be fast.Whatever!

The p700 and the twin peaks a.k.a. Prairie with suzuki colors and stickers, will even do a lot better against a sp700.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the powerplant for the new Twinpeaks 700 is Suzuki's own creation, not just another rebadged Prairie.

They are using kawi's engine now but will come out with their own 700 next year. Currently, It is the exact engine!

Well, I can honestly say that i have owned both a Polaris and the Vinson.
The sportsman was probably the best atv I have ever owned. It took more of a beating than any atv I have ever seen, had more traction in 2wd than my vinson does in 4wd, and power is about the same.
And when you say that the Vinson can run with the 700sp, this is absolutely false, only if the vinson had mods can it hang witht he sp.
The sportsman is listed as having almost 13% more power than before, after doing the calculations, that's over 50hp.

If I had to do it over again, I would have bought another polaris, but I got my 03' vinson auto for 5200 otd, so I couldnt argue.

Now for the Kingquad, it is suzuki's own motor, not kawi
the twin peaks has the kawi twin.

Its All Based On Personal Opinion. Like Honda Riders Think A 400EX Can Stomp A YFZ450.. We Know Thats Not Gonna Happen. But The Fact Remains. The Vinson And A Sportsman Are Both Fine Machines. I Basically Grew Up On A Trailblazer 250. Its All About Personal Likes And Dislikes. Good To Hear From A Fellow Ohioian.

On The Traction Issue, All Depends On The Tire. Good Tire, Good Traction. Bad Tire, Bad Traction.

Well its about time, I have been checking on the suzuki forum for several weeks now and know one ever even mentions the twin peaks
It sure seems like there is a lot of confusion on this thred about the twin peaks 700 and the 05' king quad. I think they wiil probably have both bikes in 2005. just look at some of the other manufactures out there, they build and sell what ever keeps sales up. ex. yamaha warrior/ honda 300ex (if it sells well this year, I bet they keep it in the lineup). I have had a deposite on a blue one for over a month now. I know its a kawi p700 , but I like my bikes to look good and if you ask me I think the susuki is better looking than the p700's (I hate the brown/gold wheels and trim on the new kawi's) I think the yellow looks pretty cool also, but I had susuki e-mail me a photo of the blue one and I thought it looked awsome. I have a 02' p650 now and I just sold my 02' grizzly last month so I could get a new twin peeks.
