Anyone own a Twin Peaks 700 yet?
#1
I sold my p650 so that I could buy a p700. I think these machines are the greatest sport/utes on the market. My p650 didn't have one problem. I just like the idea of a little more HP of the p700. However, I am considering the Twin Peaks, 'cause that yellow sure looks good.
Anyway, I would like to hear any feedback from you Twin Peak owners.

My dealer keeps telling me mine will be here soon. I have a feeling that the fokes on the Susuki forum don't like the new twin peeks becaus its realy a kawi, But for the life of me I am not sure why. The kawi is still the Best sport utility on the maket, its won about every award there is and almost every shootout in the mags. I would think that since they gave some bikes to kawi that were NOT at the head of there class and got the king in return, it would not matter. I think the Susuki is better looking than the kawi version so I have been waiting on a blue one for over a month now. I was told the Nebraska plant started releasing them to susuki on 9-29-03 but Susuki is not shipping them untill sometime in November. I will let you know when I get it if you like. I too have a p650 and love it. Its been the best quad I have ever owned.

Go to this page on the susuki global site ( it does have the front diff lock ) The twinpeaks is a clone of the kawi.
The global site has more info and lots more pics than the US susuki site. I dont know why since the bike is only being marketed in the US and Canada as far as I know. Still no pics of the blue one but look at my icon, I got the pic from susuki customer service. I hope to have one by the end of the month but I thought that last month too.

The king quad sounds cool but the thing is, I have had a sportsman and a grizz 660 both with IRS and after having my p650 the IRS is nice but a little borring. The solid rear axel on my p650 is alot more sporty and fun to ride. I love blipping the throtel and hanging the back end out around curves and such. Thats alot harder to do on a IRS bike, they tend to have alot of body roll and are harder to get into a controlled slide. As for the engine I realy dont think I can ever go back to having just one cylinder. Don't get me wrong I love the thougt of having fuel injection, just not at the expense of one cylinder and alot of the fun I currently enjoy with my P650. I plan to keep an eye out for the king quad when it comes out next year but I think I will still preffer the twinpeaks.
