Any Suzuki riders ridden the YFZ450?

If so, what is your honest opinion of how it compares to a Z. I like my Z and I've always been a die hard Suzuki owner but let's face it, the Z is now becoming second class to the latest sport/racing quads. Nothing some mods won't fix but everything I've been reading and hearing from neutral sources says the YFZ wakes up big time to just a couple minor mods. It's hard to compete against a 450 with a 400 so hopefully Suzuki is working on putting their new 450 motor in a quad frame.
I don't want to tear apart my motor to be equal or slightly faster than a stock/slightly modded YFZ. I want external mods only.

Hey Guido, we finally speak! I have admired your web page for some time, being an LT owner. I have not been on a Z400, I think that's about the only thing I haven't ridden, but I have ridden a few YFZ's and I own a pretty good running 87 LT and a piped Raptor. The YFZ with pipe/airbox/jets is a huge step forward in handling and power delivery from these. Throw it sideways on sand and it just sticks to the ground, jumps and lands like a dream. Sitting on one at the Yammy dealer it feels funny, like an LT 160 or something, and the bars are low, but ripping through the gears out in the dunes it feels very natural. (I am 6' tall.) A harsher ride than the Raptor but more excitement too.
With my LT I will beat a piped Z up a dune, and the YFZ will really run away from me. For what it's worth. Unless Suzuki does something really neat I will probably end up with the Yamaha this coming year.

I read it in the newest issue of 4 wheel atv action. There has been R and D/dealer meetings asking what they would want in a 450. I believe it is in the very early stages. But they talked about better suspension, stronger chassis, etc. I think I am going to wait for this one.

My buddy has a (bone stock for now) YFZ, and I have put in a few hours on it. It is a nice bike in some ways, but frankly left me wondering what all the fuss was about! It just isn't the "magic carpet" that I expected based on all the hype that the bike has gotten.
