stock tires do the job 4 me but snow riding is hard on a quad its so slippery and when you turn, the front wheels uaually just plow. i dont care though snow riding is a blast!

For snow riding, my tire of choice would either be blackwaters or Realtors. I always liked the Realtors because you could reverse the tread to obtain paddle-type performance. Both work great for non-snow action as well. I'd stay away from sand paddles in snow.

I tried my sand paddles up in Montana. My paddles are really agressive. They worked ok, but did not give me the effect I anticipated. It was getting the front tires to not slide/plow that seemed to be the problem.
My paddles did'nt freeze, get brittle, or fall off. Maybe give it a try? You may have two toys for the price of one:-)

Dumont, a quad will never be half of what a good sled is, but I have heard that paddles and replacing the front tires with skis works good, theres kits to put the skis on, or your could make them easy enough. There like big metal snowmobile skis that bolt on to your hubs. This keeps the front end up, so then puttins some good beefy paddles in the rear would probably work good. Just dont play on the ice.....

I've got Fast Trekkers for rear tires on my LT. They're pretty good in the snow (sort of have two diagonal straight treads in the middle of them). I'd like to try out the ski setup in the front. I wonder just how hard it actually would be to make them. Anyone have any ideas?
