Default Stupid Question about z400

Ya i enjoy doing wheelies with the Z and it does them very good. I previously had a 300ex and did them okay with that too. i started to establish shifting without the clutch and didnt care because the bike was a piece of crap. But does it bother the Z when you do wheelies without using the clutch when shifting. I know it is stupid but it is confusing because people tell me different things.

Default Stupid Question about z400

It really is not bad if your shifts are at the right time the only thing the clutch does is allow the gears to go together without pressure on the gears. Well it slows the gears to engague at the right time if you will kind of hard for me to explain but if you do it corectlly it really will not hurt it. but if you dont do it right then you can mess up your transmission.

Default Stupid Question about z400

Go to douggust.com
he has a FAQ section and he gives a nice answer to this question , its not about weelie shifts, but when racing.
To sum it up, its better not to, but its not the end of the world. Basically you have a higher likelyhood of bending a shift fork.
