Default DualExhaust for Z400

How is that new dual exhaust by LTE for the quad. Is the noise and power any different than a single exhaust. www.lteracing.com

from what I've heard about the dual exhaust is it's slightly lighter then stock, gives a slight power increase and is very expensive.
From what I understand you can get a single full system exhaust for cheaper and get better results. Check this out Exhaust Shootout

yup, KFX400man you are right, the LTE is expensive
And you dont get the results you can from MOST single full systems.
The only thing I like is the looks of the LTE. Two pipes coming out
looks awesome to me.

Yes, I do like the looks as well of that exhaust. Doubt I'd ever buy it, but if it was the same price as regular single I'd probably do it......

I was one of the people who responded to your post. None who responded said you were a dumbass. There is no point in putting duals on a quad with a single exhaust port, other then the fact you might get some badass sound out of it. Its not worth the money. Something like a raptor of 400ex, which has dual exhaust ports would bennifit more from duals then a Z. So really, you aren't getting all the much more exhaust flow do to the fact that only so much flow can go through a single exhaust port. Duals might actully restict it more because the pipe has to "Y" off some place. If it "Y's" off in the wrong place, such as imedietly after it leaves the exhaust port the restriction would be greater then just haveing a single pipe. To much money for the performance you WOENT gain.....

My race team will be testing the LTE's mainly on built motors to keep the sound down with out loosing any power. Next year (05) it will be a big factor in the GNCC races because it will be mandatory. I also like the head pipe size to keep the velocity up to aid in scavenging.

mickey, go ahead and waste your money on that dual exhaust..... It will not reduce the sound, and it will hurt the performance.....

i would suggest not getting the duals, they are mostly for looks, and only hinder or keep the performance the same. they are as heavy as the stock pipe, and are rather loud, but dont give the added performance and lower price that a single pipe offers.
