its says on master cylinder do not mix dot 3 and dot 4

After checking into it more...If your system is a dot3 system, then its ok to add dot 4. However, if your system is a dot4 system(check your owners manual) then its not ok to add dot 3.
Dot4 fluid has a higher boiling point than dot 3, so dot 4 specs, excede dot 3. A dot 4 system may be designed to run at higher temperatures than a dot 3 system, in which case...you wouldnt want dot 3 in there. So if you ride hard, and use the brakes hard, you should have dot 4 in there.

It's fine... he's mixing it, not just using straight Dot 3. Like you said, if it calls for Dot 4 then yes, you should have Dot 4 in there, but it's okay to mix Dot 3 and 4 together, he wont have any problems with that....

well it says to use dot 4 but guys get this i don't have any and i don't want to go to the dealer and get some but those of you who live in canada does canadian tire sell any dot 4

if they do please tell me ok

Have you ever been to canada? Well i have to tell you that it is not cold up here infact i have lived here for 18 years all i have to say is that it is not cold up here ok
