New motorized toy
hi, i recently found a 1987 rm 125, for free, from a guy i kinda know, i am trading that for my old lt230, i got a few questions.
the guy said the motor run perfiect, and i trust him, i know these bikes are liquid cooled, and a 6spd. the only thing wrong with the bike is the fact that the plastics are faded no big deal. is there anything i should look out for in terms of reliablity.
i know this is a ATV forum, but a few guys have rms here so i figured i would give it a shot

well you could probably get more for your 230 if you sold them...at least around here...older dirt bikes (even mid 90's) dont go for anything over 1500. I sold my 230 for 1200...but i got it for free, and only thing i did was plastic and rear tires. So im sure with all your mods you have...you could sell it for quite a bit more, and maybe buy a newer RM. Might not be worth the trouble, but im sure any newer you get would be better.

yea my 230 i got for 300$ smokes, and the most around here i could get is 700$ not good. my 230 looks pretty good, but is old, and needs a frount rim. i like the look and reliability of the rm.
