I am an owner of a lt500r and like it for its handling, stabitity, looks and violent power with no end. The lt500r will dominate all but the most modified banshee in near stock form....buy the way, ive driven a `tractor` and I dont think they compare.

ANYWAYs i did buy the quadzilla that i was looking at for $2500. Its very powerful but i have never ridden a 250r,banshee,or 400ex. What would cause it to not start sometimes after you have stalled it or shut it off?

After 4 years on my 87 quadzilla and it started to start hard...The compression was low. Order a manual for your new quad, and test the compression with a normal automotive compression tester..The minimum compression spec will be in that manual...Remember, its a 2 stroke.

I've heard speeds of anywhere from a pessimistic 74 mph. to 78, 80, and 82. Who knows which is right, but I would assume 75mph or better when it was brand new.

i own an 87 quadzilla with a paul turner top end and fmf gold series pipe. This thing is fast and stock banshees are no competion for this beast. The only bike that comes close was my friends 440 longrod banshee. I also agree with the post above about tight trails. watch out for those trees you will get stuck or thrown off. Keep this going about the quadzilla i woul like to hear about the other lt500s out there
