I was looking back in an old version of DW yesterday, and I found some drag racing times for a few different quads. They were racing in the 1/8 mile running slicks and wheelie bars!

Top dog at the track was a completely worked 500 cc ver of the banshee motor worked by trinity racing. Running a superlight frame (253 lbs) He ran 6.7 sec at 97.86 mph.

The next fastest was a completely stripped of plastic quadzilla, running stock gearing (except for oversized tires) and a near stock motor with a pipe). It was sitting behind trinity racing. This oddball zilla suprised everyone with a 7.6 sec 1/8 mile and a top speed of 89.39 mph.

Next was a nicely worked sand drag banshee running pipes and alcohol. It ran 7.8 sec 1/8 mile with a top speed of 87.34.

Lots of other info:
Nicely modified TRX250R 8.79 sec 1/8 mile top 73.86 mph
Painfully stock 250r's ran 10.20 sec with a top of 68.51.
Stock banshees with pipes were around 73-75 mph topped out.
Everyone at the track said they were running out of gearing, even in the 1/8 mile, some worse than others.

Just thought i'd share, because of the repeated top speed questions and which one is faster. Here is some real-world facts.

I HAD SEEN THIS MAG. AND IT SAID THAT QUAD HAD JUST GOT BACK TO THE PERSON FROM TRINITY RACING THE DAY BEFORE. SO I THINK IT DID HAVE SOME WORK DONE TO IT. SOME PORTING AND OTHER MODS IM QUESSING.

Thanks for writing something for my effort! I was ready for an attack from all the people on here that think a quadzilla cant beat a banshee...and now we have facts as how fast there quads are.
