alright the pics are available tell me what you think. most likely im gonna have them bend the frame strait then have it welded with reinforcements. i dont plan on jumping it more than 3 or 4 feet high and i barely ever do jump anyways.

Well, I never have checked for a square axle other than using that chicken scratch measuring system on the swingarm. If mine isn't right, the chain WILL NOT stay on. (I think 15 people who never worked together all had input on that swing-arm.)

Reason I mentioned measuring center to center is to check how bad the frame is bent. Not necessarily
to square the axle. I agree the wear on the rear sprocket, or shooting off the chain would be a good indication
its out of square. Although if it isnt square it can cause a pull and not toss a chain.

Lots of things can cause a pull, gotta start somwhere. Like I said about the blaster thats 3/4 of an inch shorter
on one side and still doesnt pull.

CTATV,

Did you know the frame was bent B4 you bought it? After seeing your pics that thing is tweaked pretty bad.
A new frame may not be a bad idea.

just my .02

I agree with the freak. You might want to consider looking for a used frame on ebay or a salvage yard. Your frame is considerably worse than the one I replaced on my 250. If you have to pay someone else to weld it, it might be almost as expensive as getting another frame.

You might want to call Mark at HSD. He makes a replacement, narrow 250r style front end for the LT250's. He might have something for your frame also.

yea i didnt know it was that tweaked i only knew there was that one weld on the front right a-arm. lousy F*cker didnt tell me. I have had no luck finding a used frame so far and if i can get it bent strait my friend will weld it for free so i just have to see if i can get it straitened. my friend has done classes and is pretty good. he built himself a roof rack, running boards, dimondplate door covers, front bumper with custom winch mount, rear bumper for his jeep cherokee and it looks pretty perfect so i have confidence in his quality. I just have to see if i can get it strait then ill have him weld the sh*t out of it. put some support brackets in. i dont give a damn how it looks long as it doesnt pull or break apart while im riding it. if anybody knows of any used frameslet me know.

Yeah thats tweaked allright. I would do a little welding touch up until you can get a better frame.....it's real hard to find a straight one out there. Check With Dave over at EastCoast ATV . He might have a decent frame for you. If he does have him powdercoat it for you while its there....
I would have to say by looking at your frame , the previous owner hit something pretty damn hard and did a cob job repairing it.. I made the same mistake when i purchased my 500r. I didnt really look at the frame to well or the swingarm. I was so excited about getting it that i didnt take the time to really go over the machine. I paid 1500 for mine but the frame was no good and the swing-arm had a crack in it. Everything else was fine though. lol
Good luck with it and be sure to contact Dave over at ECATV

yea i will. I got it off ebay. If i had bought it in person i wouldn't have paid 1700 for it. hopefully it wont turn into a money pit although i have a bad feeling about it already.

1700 bucks aint a bad price if the rest if it is all there. If you stumble across the perfect Zilla and you got the cash,
at least you still have a great parts bike, even if you cant get the frame worked out.

Dont sellers on ebay have to disclose any damage like that, you kinda got boned! I wont put out cash till I see
it first.
