my buddy has one and it hauls around his wife. i dunno what she weighs, but its over 200 lbs. wont climb any hills with her on it, but its very reliable. prolly comparable to a blaster, just a 4 stroke.
sounds like a good price.
good luck

I have a like new 87 lt230 that will do just about all that I need it to do.I weigh about 190 and I took it out last Sunday and took it up some pretty good hills that were about 75 yards up and the ground was wet as well. Mine has a nice amount of torque in first and decent top end speed. I think I like its midrange best though. I just recently got a replacement fender and trimmed it way back so I won't have to worry about small bushes etc. I kept the orginal fender to keep in the garage and preserve. I had all new holeshots,DG pipe, uni filter and a rejet done recently. Nice little boost. I just recently got a set of 4 aluminum rims off of ebay to mount up. Another guy on this forum is still waiting on pics of the trimmed plastic. I'll try to do that tomorrow and set up some pics via my profile.Overal,l an ice fun ride!!!Especially, if you get a great deal on one!!!

yup whole bike, it needs rings, and something is up with the trans, i belive it is very minor tho, i was ridin it and it still goes in reverse, but not into first gear? mabey the clutch plates, i know it was not a seize, being it had full oil in it. let me know, because i am tradeing a guy(mabey) for a 1996 rm 250 + cash

well i think we would have to meet somewhere in between, i am not up for a 10 hr ride for a 400 dollar bike

Is the frame Bent? it kind of looks like it in the pic, just curious

but it needs rings, trans(maybe) and that's bout it, were you riding and put it in reverse while going fast?

this could have broke the trans the cam/shaft
