can a stock lt250r take a stock z400?

 

If the LT250 is a 85-86 I would say probably not. My 86 had a few small mods and ran pretty close to a stock Z400. A 87-92 LT250 would likely win.

 

In a drag maybe, on an MX track, no.

 

On an MX track the deciding factor would be rider skill.

The Z would smoke the LT going backwards.

 

i was wanderin the same thing...my friend has a kfx 400 with a yoshi pipe..and i have an 88 lt with fmf exhaust...and i was wanderin if it would be close in a drag and mx track?

 

i think it would be closer in mx. i have drag raced a Z with an alien pipe and just left the kid in the dust, but i have raced against a few Z400s on mx tracks and only lost to one in one moto (the others were usually pretty close)
don't get me wrong i want a Z but i'm waiting for Suzuki to bring out a 450[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

My 86 womps on Z's, but it isn't quite stock either. Oh well.

 

I haven't had a chance to find out since I got my LT this winter. I have to say it's too close to call. Both are quick!

 

Bring it on Slacker1bob!!! No I'm just messin. The only one round here is an '85 with just an FMF pipe and it isn't very fast, but I would like to race one of the "newer" versions, if you will.
