Default can i compete

I am just starting to get into mx this summer, and will be racing in the "b" class. My 92 lt250r has k&n with no lid, 36mm keihin pj, delta 2 reeds, .003 over bore, and fmf pipe and silencer. However, my chassis is basically stock. My frame has been completely gusseted, but other than that i have stock a-arms, swingarm, and shocks. I'm not looking to win anything, just get my feet a little wet. Do I stand a chance at doing well with my machine?

man if i was going to race MX i would be in there to try to win. and as far as trying to race class B with a quad that is just about all stock, i really don't have a comment on that. and starting out in class B. geez those guys will kill you, my friend's brother is racing class B with a 440EX and he is in 1st because he's been in it for a while, he even beats 250R's. if you want to get your feet wet just go to a mudhole or try hydroplaning a lake lol.

good luck man

You can bet i'm going to be out to win. However, I don't have the money to do everything i would like to my quad, but I need to start somewhere. Also, in wisconsin the lowest class is two stroke "B." I was just wondering if i would stand a chance.

Oh sorry about that then, here in PA the lowest class for every quad is class D. this is for people who are just starting out or just don't want to jump. Myself i'm going to start racing MX this year too and i'm starting in class C which is allowed to jump, but are for less experienced racers. I've been riding my Suzuki LT250R for about a year now and i just got a Honda 250R. anybody can win in drags if they know how to use the clutch right, but it takes practice to race MX.

have fun racing this year and good luck, I hope you win. i would like to see the Suzuki 250's beat the sh*& outta some of these 4 strokes and i would like to see them run with the Hondas. If you need aftermarket parts check out Trinity they have everything for the Suzuki that they have for the Honda.
