Can anyone tell me if an lt500r motor or a newer lt250r motor will fit on a 1986 lt250r quadracer or if there is any way to make it fit?

There's always a way. But in this case, not an easy one.

 

its acually not that hard...lt500/lt250r is the most popular engine swap today!if you know how to weld its not that gard at all to get a newer lt250r engine to fit in the 86's just dont use a headstay they cause gaskets to blow out.if you find a good engine go for it theres soo much stuff about this engine swap on the internet sign up for macdizzy that will help you alot.
