we was wanting to get a new exhaust system. we was looking at trinity,alba,whitebros.,and yoshimura what exhaust would you pick
we also ride in the woods most of the time so we dont want it really loud

 

have you looked at the CT racing exhaust, they are rated the best for a z400 and are a really good trail exhaust and not loud either i think they r 94db but im not sure, and alba is REALLY loud

 

joe is right. In the dirtwheels shootout the ct pipe made the most power and was the quitest from the group. They also have a tuneable spark arrestor. I have the hmf and it is pretty loud compared to my brother's raptor that has the ct. You might want to get that issue of dirtwheels mag.

I have the FMF powercore 4 but its prettyloud.

 

I like my LRD for woods. Its loud but not obnoxious. Stay away from ALBA, its a good pipe but way loud.

 

Another one that is too loud is DG.

 

the CT is a good pipe and is one of the quietest around, the new FMF q-series is also very quiet. My white bros is a good pipe, great low-mid range hit, and is only around 95-96 db, quite quiet and not obnoxious.

 

On my old 03 Z i had the CT and it had a nice powerful feeling and pretty quiet but on my 04 i have a full yoshi and i love the way it sounds .. not too loud but throaty and screams .. Plus i think it has way better overall power than the CT ... to bad you can't try them before you buy them ...lol
