dyna ignition jetting
I just installed a dyna ignition on my z400, right now I have it on the stock timeing map. I was thinking about using one of the advanced maps and was wondering if anyone had an idea on how much I would have to increase my jetting. Right now I have a 25 pilot jet, and a 247.5 main jet.
any ideas on jetting?

Well first off, I'm really thinking, (or at least hoping), that you don't have a 247.5 main jet unless your running on straight alcohol or at 20,000 feet below sea level! I'm not sure on the exact jetting for the stock carb because I had the FCR before I got my dyna, but it did make my quad run lean once the ignition was installed and running the #2 position.

Sorry about that, it was a 147.5, Stock main jet is a 132 (I think) and the stock pilot is a 22.5 (I think) I have a 150 main jet and a 27 pilot So I can try them out.
I have a stock motor other than the pea shooter on the exhaust drilled out, noise baffle removed and some uni-filtered vents in the air box lid, and a uni filter. I also Have the next coolest spark plug in.
Can I still run Pump gas (92 - 93) with the map 1 or 2 or will I have to mix or run race gas?
Thanks for the help,
chuck

Yes you can still run the pump gas with the agressive curves. I have no choice but to run straight race with my high compression piston although. How do you like the dyna??? I was suprised at how much more I like it over stock! At first I was only interested because I wanted to raise the rev limiter, but am very pleased with the added power that came along with it!
