Hi there, I too am starting district 16 this year. What are you racing?
You can find how the point system and everything else works in the ama/atva handbook.
The handbook can be found here http://www.ama-cycle.org/rulebooks/04amrules.pdf
You need acrobat reader to read the file but you can find out how the point system works on page 59..
