I read what you wrote, but it doesn't make me mad because the 400ex is not much slower than a z400 at all. They can hang with the z easily. I'll admit, even though I love Honda, the z is better only because of reverse and liquid cooling, they are very similar. It takes a real unbiased person to say that. But don't try and say that 400ex can't hang, because I have first hand experience, it can hang. My 2003 goes the faster than the z400 with my mods, but the 2004 should be able to go almost just as fast as a z400 stock because of the larger carb.

Don't try and start stuff about this, smart people know the z is not that much better. When you try and say such an illegitamate statement, it just makes you look even more stupid.

 

The EX can't hang with a Z. The farther the distance the wider the margin. Stock /Stock or like mods the Z is faster, plain and simple.........

 

Not sure what this guys problem is???? I have both the EX and Z in my stable and they are both fine machines, so I don't have any particular axe to grind. The Z definitely is faster, water cooled, fine modern DOHC engine, handles slightly better, etc. The EX on the other hand is dead solid reliable, handles great, has a powerband that is better suited for trail riding, etc.

Try using puncuation also. That might help people understand. There very close but yes the z is a little more modern.
