engine work on lt250

Default engine work on lt250

was reading that this person was running a 92lt250 with an 1986rm 250 jug and cool head on it and he claims that it does somthing to the port timing that really makes it crank . has any one heard of any thinh like this??? can you run a power valve lower end with a older top end???

The powervalve on the 86 RM jug matches up with the LT's. Everything you need to know is on Kiwi Craig's Site.

well...is it worth doing the change from the LT to RM cylinder?? is it that much more power?

im not sure yet about this mod i will have to do alot more researchon it. it sounds resonbale i guess but kiwis site is like old and is not very informative . it does have a bunch of specs that should be helpful though.. if i find out any thing ill post it for all to see...

The RM jug is a great bolt-on affair from what I have read. Although the 87 LT Jug has more potential as far as drag porting goes, if you can find a good RM cylinder for cheap, it's some of the best bang for the buck around for a trail/MX/play bike...

so what have you heard about this mod?would a guy use a cylinder from an 86rm?thats whats getting me i guess does the 86 have a power valve? hell if this can be done cheaply i think ill get right on it.also do you think my pipe would work i just bought a new bills pipe. thanks for your input.. monty

to my knowledge, only 86 and 87 RM jugs fit. the 88, 89, 90, 91 and 92 are all case reed engines.
