Is the Lt 250R OutDated???
#1
Hey Guys some times after dumping tons of money into my 250R I start to think twice, should I stop spending money on it and just save up for a new Quad? I see the aftermarket for the 250R starting to dwindle, none of the dealers ever have anything for it in stock and everything has to be special made. And with the 4-stroke generation becoming more and more powerful is the Lt on it's last leg? Sometimes I can't decide if I should keep up with the mods or just take it out back and shoot it.

listen hear mister go drink a bear and relax. ok feel better.anyways i race mx and tt on mine and so far the only quad that t ru up agianst that will out run mine or out pull it on the straights was ayfz 450 with much mods and a trinity raptor. i raced a lrd framed 250r w 330ct motor and i wupped his kester for him.its 90percent rider input.lt250s are about the fastest thing out there now as long as there preped properly and you can ride so why get rid of that machine only to spend more on less of a machine..

Yes. The LT and TRX 2 strokes will always have their place in the world of racing and performance on the minor league scale and in future vintage ATV classes, but their day as top dog on the track is over. It was only a matter of time before those stoneage designs (by MX bike standards) got retired. Anyone who disagrees that the LT and TRX are outdated is obviously an idiot. Look at what the pros are running today. nuff said. The production racer is back and much better than it was in the 80s. I'm impatiently waiting to see what Suzuki brings to the table for the 450 battle, and then I'm signing the first downpayment... I'm really warming up to that YFZ, though... it's gonna be hard for Suzuki to top that thing in all areas...

What's up, Matt.
I have a set of A-arms on order from HSD but their lead time is 6-8 weeks so it's gonna be a while. The shocks won't fit until I get the new arms and upper shock mount.
I was looking at your pic with the Elkas and it looks like the bike is sitting higher than it was with the Works. Are the Elkas longer?
