LTZ450

i must agree Justin,
ive heard a lot of talk on here about legislation that will mean younger riders can only ride a bike with a certain cc and so on, if that legislation ever came in a wide spread manner it could mean that manufacturers turn their hand to producing small cc race quads and a class could develop. could also be the saviour of 2 stroke engines, as i cant see a 125 4 stroke producing any raceable power if this was the case and the manufacturers developed 125 2 stroke engines to fit in with future legislation it might mean some larger capisity 2 strokes being produced as well.
strange things have hapened in the past,
in the mid 80s a new class was created for rally cars within a couple of years the car manufacturers had developed cars for the class that are to this day the most advanced cars ever produced, the cars were eventualy banned and the class stopped but it pushed the manufacturers to look out side the traditional scope of what they do,
i was reading the other day that bugati have made a car that will do 256mph and claim they have the technical no-how to make one do 300mph
your gona run out of road real quick at that speed so maybee the next move will be no road
i supose my point is,
the only way for things to evolve is if things change, yamaha have made the first move introducing an out and out race quad its a long time since one was brought to the market.
we need people to dream and dare to be different to push things on,

Reverse on a sub-350 pound premium-fuel only race quad is like a trailer hitch on an R1. Sure, it serves a purpose in theory, but it's totally unneccesary weight and you'd have to be a fool to want it!!
Anyone who owns a lightweight and low quad will agree with me. Reverse is totally unneccesary. Just get off your *** and lift the back tires up with the grab bar, I can do it on mine without even taking off my tether switch.
Or, without even getting off your ***, just crank the wheels and giver the beans.

An LTZ-250 with the RMZ-250 engine, weighing in well under 300 lbs would be a very interesting quad. There's your new aerobatics 4-wheeler, and jr. racer. The Z-250 is a fun little quad, but nothing more than an Ozark with sport plastic. A real 250 ultralight racer could find a definite nitch, especially with younger riders....

A Z-250 with an RMZ250 motor would be awesome. I wouldn't be surprised if it could almost hang with the 400's if Suzuki could keep the weight down and not detune the engine.
And if it makes me a fool to want reverse on a Z450 than I guess I'm a fool. For extremely tight trail riding like I do reverse is almost essential. And being a small rider (5'7" 120lbs) it isn't always easy for me to pull around a 350lb quad, especially uphill or in mud.
