Default LT still foulin plugs...but only during warm-up...Please help.

150 should be plent o compresion. the tool is called a compression tester and all it is a guage with a hose and a fitting on the end. remove your plug.screw the fitting in to your head and give her a few swift kicks.the guage should read a set pressure and wala that would be your comp reading. also do it with open throttle and while machine is cold. there is a few differant ideas on how to check comp and this way has always worked for me...

asked my dad about checking the compression, and found out we ad a tool. With the carb off, first kick was 100, second was 150. Was very surprised at this. But called my dads friend, and he went through a few more things. We found that the spark plug end cap was actually not getting a good connection. Im really hopin all we need is a new cap to fix it. We kinda rigged it up to check the spark..and it looks a lot bigger. So i will update when i get the new cap to see if thats it.

ok well...we put a new spark plug cap on, and its still doing it. Actually its worse, it wouldnt even start today. The plug may be completely fouled now because we couldnt do anything to get it to spark. We sprayed it with carb cleaner, wiped it off, brushed it off, then finally blew it off with air compressor. This is usually more than enough to get it to spark, but not this time. Anything else to try???

If it still wont spark, I would turn to electronics. Coil and stator assembly, or a bad ground wire somewhere perhaps.

Get a shop manual. It shows you how to test your electrical system with an ohmmeter. Your coil might not be making enough juice until it gets hot.

i changed the coil on mine and i still have symtoms like yours.
when i had the engine rebuilt the guy told me my stator looked fine. i am going to try a carb next seeing mine has a problem starting but when warmed up runs fine.
i cant see it being my CDI since my lights work and it runs great after it warms up.
