Default Z250 Jetting w/ S/A removed

This is what I did. There weren't any different clip settings on the stock needle sooo..... I took the little washer that was above the clip and put it on the bottom to raise the needle up. Ran a while and did a few different plug checks and everything seems great. Before when I would run without the S/A it was running lean. Anyway this shouldn't hurt anything right? I hope not, I rode it a whole day like this and had no problems. I'm going to buy new jets today anyway, so I can take the air box lid off too. Anyway, I thought it was kinda wierd that there were no other clip settings on the stock needle jet. There is a little white plastic piece thats on the jet, but I couldn't move it up or down.

Usually you skip 3-4 jets big, and go smaller so the motor doesn't skip and miss at top end, along with reading the plug, of course.

I only ever changed the main. If your needle doesn't have clips, than you need a needle with a different profile, or a needle that has clips. You may not even need to play with it. I'm sure someone will chime in about the pilot jet.

You should be able to adjust your air/fuel mixture screw for the pilot. Also you should be able to go to the dealer and get different sizes. You don't need a whole jet kit. Thats just a waist of $.
