04 Z400...How much Valve noise is "ok"?
#1
Heya
I have only run about 5 gas tanks through. Changed my oil after the 1st tank.
I seem to have some valve noise...not really bad but it is there. The dealer didnt listen to it but said some valve noise is ok...is this true?
After break-in should I get the valves adjusted?
Thanks
Steve

what do u mean "run the valves after break in" as in get them adjusted or run it without getting adjusted? Because I have a Z250 and I think I have a little valve noise and the break in service I did myself but that is the only thing I couldnt do is adjust the valves. So please explain.

GTFZ250 what I ment was: Initially adjust the valves after the engine rebuild (before you start it) then after a few hours, check, and re-adjust the valves as neccessary. I agree, it was poor wording on my part. Sorry for the confusion.
By the way. I'm VERY jealous over your car!!!! I even love the color!!!!! Those are that last of the muscle cars if you ask me. With a few mods those things can be really nasty!!!!! Can I have it???? Ha ha ha ha....
