Has anyone removed thier snorkle cover? If so did it make much difference?

 

I did when I removed my lid with the K&N kit.I don't really know if it made a difference since I did everything at once jetting etc.
I'm going to cut a peace of plastic off something and cut it to fit the hole left by the snorkel and super glue the hole shut.I ride in the sand alot and I have noticed its kind of like haveing RAM air but with sand and air,constantly blowing sand in the box.
