lt230s specs?

230 has 5.8 in the rear, and 5.3 in the frount i belive is what i was told at one point when i had mine.

wheelies on that 230 were my speaciality, i could ride them to 5th gear at like 45-50mph. word to wise-dont sit on grab bar in 1st and punch gas-you might get scared, it points to the sky, best way to wheelie them is a first to second shift, and then keep he up.

I don't see how they could wieght that much less. The only wieght savings are battery, starter, auto clutch, and aluminum rims.

first day i had my 230 i figured id pull a little wheelie in first ( I don't have a grab bar ) on black top to impress my cousin so i reved it up a little and dropped the clutch and stood the thing straight up i went home and changed my pants!!!Just kiding. But yeah they are wheelie machines also does any one know how much it would cost to replace swingarm bearings, my shop told me 475$$

I've been holding off until the weather gets a little better. I replaced all bushings/bearing, rebuilt the carb and threw on a K&N so it was rideable, but it needs some more work. It apparently never had any maintence by the second owner. I have a new gripper seat cover, and have been considering some powdercoating for the wheels, frame, ect. I need some new tie rod ends real bad. Oh, and to replace the knuckle arm bolts I broke off last time I went riding. 4 miles home with one wheel flapping in the breeze.

Get yourself a full chassis bearing kit off of e bay. Then do them yourself. It's not very hard. Worst case scenerio is you end up taking the swingarm itself to ANOTHER reputable repair shop, and having them do it for a lot less. You could buy a brand new one for much less, with new carrier.

With light modificatons and equal riders a 230 will outrun a 300ex.
