Hey there...I am 5`10`` and now down to 270...lol !! my QS is a little small for me but, it runs like crazy..It sure is easy to move weight around on for slidinng around corners and jumping (just a little , I`m to old to fly)... I would change the suspension around...I got a newer rear shock w/res and a set of front shocks off a 300ex... I am going to have to raise the top mount about an inch and a half though....In my humble opinion..230 QS is still a good entry level, all areound bike...

Fun little machine. My cousin had one with a set of swampers on it, it would go through just about everything. No a slouch either, it could keep up pretty decent on the trails.

After installing a dg RCM pipe and K&N air filter on my 87 lt 230, i blew the drawls off of a 94 300EX. the lt160 wont even stand a chance if your motor is still.....running, lol. I even raced a 99 warrior with a pipe, and kept with him till he hit sixth gear, which was when he started pulling away, beacause of a little higher top speed.

Machines you SHOULD be able to beat (stock of course) or at least stay with relatively easy with a 230 :
-ltz 250
-250X, 250EX, 300EX
-Mojave, lakota
-lt 160
-blaster

P.S, many of the ltz 250 specs are the same or close to the old lt230, (other than shaft drive, motor, etc)
