Default Bought another one! :)

I found a LT500 for a real good price that was allredy in better shape than the one I was going to restore would have been when I was done, so the heck with all that work. Here is a picture and there will be a few others on my gallery page as soon as it is approved. Everything is powdercoated or polished. All I've got to do is bolt on the new top end, pipe and bars I allready had, fasten and adjust a few things and its done. Wa-la 6 months of work saved just like that. I've also got polished wheels for the front and will get some shock covers. The front shocks were the only part not powdercoated or polished becuse they dont come apart.

Yeah it does look pretty sweet, most of the hard part is done...I'm not much into the LT's, I'm sure that 500's got to fly...I'd put on a different color plastic though...have fun!

I gave 1600$ for it. My friend is giving me 1000$ for my project Quad that I had, so for 600$ I saved a ton of work. Also, the guy who had it did a far better job than I could have. I’ve got a set of like new factory plastics for it that can be seen on my gallery page. I won’t use them much though because they are just to pretty to scratch and break. I’ve got some older yellow plastics also, I’m not yet decided whether I will use them or the purple ones for riding. I didn’t like the purple at first but its growing on me and they are in much better shape than the older yellow ones.

Purple wouldn't be my first choice. I have 2 old yellow sets aside from the new ones that I could use but neither are in nearly as good condition as the purple ones. Im giving 2 sets to the guy that's buying the other quad in 2 weeks, I'll think it over until then. I'll have to look at it with the old yellow plastic on before I make up my mind. I might even just decide to put the new yellow ones on, I'm afraid I'll break them though. A full set of factory plastic with all the stickers is over 600$ not including the hood. I hate to put on something that expensive when its almost inevitable that it will get broken.

Congrats. You got a good deal!

I can't believe Maier even makes purple plastic. Looks like Barney the dinosaur.

I'd put the OEM plastic on. Hell, you only live once, and your not going to put it in museum someday so enjoy it!

The guy you bought the bike from was just lazy. I took mine apart, had the springs powdercoated, and then slapped them back on. All you need is a shock adjuster tool.
